Without an app
Reporting with nothing to install
The sticker opens the browser already on the phone. No app store, no download, no version lagging behind — and nobody who has to approve an app first.
Installing
There is nothing to install
The driver points the camera at the sticker and the vehicle is on the screen, in the browser that is already there. What an app needs first — finding it, fetching it, keeping it current — does not happen here, because there is no app.
With an app
- Find it in the store

Any phone
Any phone that can open a web page
A personal phone, a borrowed one, a handset the firm manages: nothing is installed, so there is nothing on the device itself to approve or release. What does have to happen happens in Curbed — a driver applies and you approve them.
Sending
It sends straight away, or it does not send
A report goes the moment the driver presses send. If that fails, the screen says so and the text they typed is still there — they send it again themselves. Nothing goes out in the background later.
That is put bluntly because the difference matters. The iPhone app holds a report that could not go and sends it later; the browser does not. A driver who assumes it will sort itself out has lost the report.
Home screen
An icon on the home screen is allowed, not required
If somebody wants Curbed among their apps, they add the page to their home screen — and under Install card Curbed prints the A4 with the steps for iPhone and Android on it, to put up at the rank. It is the same page; nothing about reporting changes.
Questions
Do drivers have to install anything?
No. The driver points the camera at the sticker and the vehicle is on the screen, in the browser already on the phone. Nothing from an app store, nothing to download, and nothing for whoever manages the device to approve first.
Do drivers need an account?
Yes, and it is the one step there is. A report carries who filed it, so a driver signs in — they apply from the poster or the sticker and you approve them. That happens once, in Curbed, and nothing is installed on the phone at any point.
What if a driver will not put a work app on their own phone?
Then nothing changes for them, because there is no app to refuse. A personal phone, a borrowed one or a handset the firm manages all open the same web page, and none of them gain anything that has to be released, updated or removed when the driver leaves.
